Varun M Deshpande, brought up in Bangalore; hails from a typical North Karnatakan family. He has completed his Engineering (B.E) in Information Science & Engineering from M.S Ramaiah Institute of Technology. He has a Master of Science (M.S) degree from Manipal University in Computer Science. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. from Jain University in the area of privacy and security in cloud computing. He has published several research papers in this field in IEEE, Elsevier and Springer international conference and journal publications. He is working as Senior Engineer at McAfee in Consumer Security division for about 7 years. He has held position of industry expert in panels of evaluation for Master’s programs in prestigious institutions like Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur. He has been session chair at IEEE international conferences.
He has keen interest on Indian studies espeacially on Indian educational system. He seeks out to every oppurtunity in this field to rendor his service to spread the goodness of native value based education and make it main stream. He is a resource person on the topic of indigenous value based inclusive education system. He is associated in various capacities with organizations such as Maneesha Foundation, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Disha, etc. He has been the coordinator of Maneesha Study Circle, a monthly meeting held in Bangalore aiming at spreading positivity in the society through hosting inspired talks, initiatives and volunteering in NGOs and their activities. In addtion to all these, being an ardent lover of music is learning Hindustani Bansuri (flute) since few years.
