Dr. Padmavathi B.S is a post-graduate in Political Science from Bangalore University. She holds M. Phil and doctoral degrees with specialisation in foreign Policies (of India and the United States of America) from the Department of Political Science, Bangalore University. Dr. Padmavathi began her career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Political Science, Bangalore University. She worked for Centre for Studies of Developing Societies (CSDS), New Delhi, as the State Coordinator (Karnataka). She has coordinated and headed nearly 30 national and international survey related projects. She also worked with the International Academy for Creative Teaching (iACT), Jain Group of Institutions’ teacher training and development centre, as a Coordinator (PGDCT-KSOU) and a Senior Faculty – Social Sciences. Besides, she has served as a member of the Textbook Committee (XII-World Politics) to the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi. She joined Karnataka Knowledge Commission, an high-powered recommendatory body set up by Government of Karnataka, as the Senior Research Associate. Currently she is working with Karnataka Lake Conservation and Development Authority as Project Coordinator of Madiwala Biodiversity Park Project.
