Welcome to Takshashila Institute of India Studies

Takshashila Institute of India Studies [TIIS], inspired by the first University of the world – Takshashila, aims to promote study and research, and facilitate diffusion of India’s heritage in multiple domains including Philosophical thought, Knowledge & Skill traditions, Yoga, Literature, Art and Culture. TIIS also attempts to understand the contemporary Indian society, it’s challenges and seek solutions to them. Further, TIIS intends to act as a bridge between Indian and Western civilizational value systems to facilitate mutual understanding, respect and co-operation for progress of humanity.
